Ron Sachs Communications

A Strategic Approach to Giving

Corporations do Well by Doing Good

Ron Sachs Communications, one of the nation’s top 100 public relations firms, is committed to supporting the community where they live and work. Over time, their corporate giving program had grown in size and scope but had become unmanageable. Cash giving was often over budget, pro-bono work was interfering with paid work, managers were frustrated, and the joy of giving had disappeared from the process.

Stansbury Consulting conducted a detailed analysis and identified core interests, helped the firm adopt giving priorities, and implement a new Corporate Giving program the entire company has embraced. Giving back remains a huge part of this company’s DNA. They continue to be publicly honored and recognized for their good works while simultaneously growing the company by leaps and bounds.

What sizzling Board Training Can Do

Florence Fuller Child Development Center provides quality child care to economically challenged families in Boca Raton, Florida. After 40 years, the organization embarked on a Capital Campaign to construct and furnish a new multi-purpose building. The goal was $3.5 million and a small number of prospective donors with the capacity to give generously had been identified. Stansbury Consulting worked with the Development Director and Board Development Chairperson to design and deliver a sizzling Board workshop on the fundraising process and how to ask for money. The results were impressive! The board took the training to heart and worked diligently to build meaningful relationships with prospective donors. Within a year of the training, the organization secured a $1 Million lead gift from a local couple and, when complete, the building will be named for them.

“Thanks to the workshop by Stansbury Consulting, our board had a better understanding of how they can help the organization achieve its fundraising goal.”

Feasibility Study Catalyst for Success

$500,000 Raised in 4 Months

Located in the rural community of Quincy, Florida, Gadsden Arts Center is a small but thriving arts organization. Their investment in a Feasibility Study conducted by Stansbury Consulting resulted in over $500,000 raised in only four months! This was before all qualified donors had been asked for a gift. Our work also included Board training and further guidance on how to position the public phase of campaign for continued success.

“In preparing for our major gifts campaign, we invited the expertise of Stansbury Consulting, a highly qualified third party consultant, who conducted our feasibility study. Going through this process, I am sure, has made participants’ gifts two to three times larger than they would have been otherwise; and is substantially growing the donor base, as well. Stansbury Consulting has been the catalyst for the present success of our fundraising team!”
